Hey everyone. It’s been way too long since my last update. For the most part, my mind has been pretty cloudy this summer so I haven’t really been pushing out that many quality tracks. I’ve really spent more time working on making my songs sound punchier and more defined than I have composing them. You can expect some DnB tunes to be posted here in the near future. Until then, chill with this little gem I made earlier this week:

Lucid is a song I’ve been working on off and on for a few weeks now. I still feel it’s a little patchy in some places but I’m very proud of how it’s sounding so far. It has a drum and bass style beat but I wouldn’t really classify it in that genre. It’s definitely more a miscellaneous type of tune. Let me know what you think.

It’s been awhile. I have not been able to spend as much time as I would like on my music but I still have some pretty chill new tracks for you guys. Let me get right to it, first track is “Gridlock and Shift”. I had been listening to a whole lot of DnB at the time I made it so I was really feeling like making a fast and powerful track.

Then my most recent song, “Blue Star” is kind of in its own category. To me it feels like a mix between Trance and DnB with its high focus on melody and less stress on the beat.

Hey everyone. Well here is something I am pretty excited about. I totally redid my studio today and so far I am LOVING IT! But enough talk, let me show you some before and after pictures of my studio.

There you have it! I ditched all my old stuff including studio monitors, control units, software, microphone, keyboard… blablabla it’s all just mumbojumbo compared to my new Macbook! I mean this thing takes simplicity to a whole new level. With the combination of my Macbook and Garageband you can be sure that you’ll hear some crazy good music from me! I totally hope you look forward to some of my new music made with my Macbook and Garageband coming in the near future.

I’m making some progress on my new favorite genre, DNB. The song on this post is me taking a try at sampling one of the most cliche drum breaks, the Amen Break. Not much else to say so enjoy my latest track. A 6 minute or so DNB fun fest.

I just can’t make up my mind of what genre I should stick to. I remember starting with trance music, then doing a little bit of house. Now I’m starting to really get into drum n bass. Well anyways, here is my first attempt at making some dnb.

I was going through some old stuff and found a music box. I forgot how cool those things are. Anyways, it inspired me to make a song that starts off like a music box but then expands into something greater. I’m actually pretty sad because I really like the song, but I just finished my CD and it’s too late to add any tracks. Oh well.. Enjoy the song!

Side note: I find it pretty cool how this blog kind of showcases my improvement over time. I’ve certainly learned a lot in recent months.

I haven’t posted here for a long long time so I thought I would just give everyone a little update. So my CD is done and I’ve been handing them out to some peeps and so far people seem to really like them. Like omg… if you don’t buy my CD you probably aren’t cool enough to have one anyways. Just kidding… but come on.. I think it’s a really awesome CD of tunes so you should check it out. Anyways, I have some news that I know some people have been waiting to hear. Well now I got my new mic and everything is all set for my recording of my new rap song of amazingness. That’s right, I’ve got a new rap song coming your way. And while I still try to figure out a theme that will top “I Grab My Balls Cus I’m a Rapper,” I do at least have the instrumental track all done. So here is the track without vocals to my new rap song. Think of it as a little demo.

I also recently obtained some new hardware + software that will make 2010 an amazing year for my music. Booyah.

My 2009 CD will be titled “Land Locked” It will feature my best work from the year 2009 and will be available to you December 25. $? is going to be cost to get yourself a copy (unless you’re a hot babe.. then you may pay in sexual favors if you prefer. Only joking.. maybe.) This will be my third album to date and I think it is appropriate to take some time and look back at my previous years work.
Starting at 2007 we have my CD “Wave Maker”.
“Wave Maker” was before I truly became serious about my music and not many people got their hands on this CD.

Then in 2008 I had my CD “Venus”.
“Venus” was my first CD where I really dedicated myself to my music. I like to think of this CD as my starting point in my “music career.” I worked very hard on this CD and in the end I actually had too many songs to fit on the CD.

Land Locked is going to be a very big leap in progress from Venus and the songs are sounding better than ever. I hope you all decide to give it a try and buy my CD this December.
